From a Sales Navigator search to a running LinkedIn sequence
· Slicegraph
Sales Navigator is where most B2B teams already keep their best search: the right titles, the right headcount band, the right regions, saved and refined over months. What it does not have is a way to work that list. This is the shortest path from that saved search to a sequence that runs from your own account.
Step 1: copy the URL
Open the search or the saved lead list in Sales Navigator and copy the address bar. Every filter you set lives in that URL, including the premium ones such as seniority and company headcount. Slicegraph pages exactly what you see, on your own seat, so nothing is lost in translation.
In Slicegraph, open the campaign, add a source, and paste. A plain LinkedIn people search works the same way; so does a saved lead list, which is worth knowing because there is no separate list export to fight with.
Step 2: preview before anything is spent
Submitting the source stages a preview. The worker reads the search one page at a time, up to 250 rows, and returns each row with a verdict:
| Verdict | Meaning | What happens on import |
|---|---|---|
| New | Not in this workspace | Imported |
| Already in a campaign | The person is in another campaign here | Skipped, counted |
| Recently contacted | Contacted from this workspace in the last months | Skipped, counted |
| Blocklisted | On the suppression list | Skipped, counted |
The counts are shown on the campaign, not dropped quietly. A preview is free: it writes no sending events and consumes no invite budget, so you can size a segment before a single invitation goes out. It is not free of risk, so submit one at a time; a rate-limited preview freezes the sender just as a rate-limited invite would.
Step 3: import, and let the search keep producing
Importing writes the leads and keeps the search attached to the campaign. When the worker has paged to the end, it records that the source is exhausted, rests seven days, and pages from the top again. A saved search is a standing query: new people match it every week, and they appear at the head of the result set. That is why a drained source re-arms rather than stopping.
Step 4: the sequence
The template most teams start with is "Invite, then InMail the silent ones": a blank invitation, a message to those who accept, and after two weeks a withdraw step followed by an InMail to the rest. The InMail step spends the seat's monthly credits under a daily cap you set; someone who is already connected gets the same text as a normal message, free. The outreach page lists every step kind with its limit, and the sending limits post explains the caps the sequence runs under.
What you need
A Sales Navigator seat is only required for two things: the search filters that live behind it, and the InMail step. Everything else works from a free or Premium account. Pricing is €29 per sender per month with a 14-day trial, and the Sales Navigator page sets out exactly where the two products meet.
If your best list is not a search but a company event, the same campaign can take a Slicegraph feed as a source: a new permit in Rotterdam resolves to the people at that company and the sequence starts from there.
